INTRODUCTION
Testimony is a public declaration of what God has done for us. As believers we must realize that one of the greatest weapon we have against hell is our testimony. When you come out to share a testimony, you are acknowledging God; the giver of the testimony and at the same time put the devil to shame.

STUDY GUIDE
A Why must we share our testimonies: using the story of the Samaritan woman in John 4.

  1. God is glorified.
  2. God is moved to do more.
  3. Testimonies encourage others
  4. It builds their faith
  5. It removes fear and build courage
  6. It is a powerful to reach out to unbelievers
  7. We become overcomes

B What are the marks of a good testimony?

  1. Testifier’s motive must be to glorify God, not man or himself. It must be Christ-centred.
  2. It must be straight to the point.
  3. It must be absolutely true. Do not say what didn’t happen.
  4. It is good to share your testimony as soon as possible. Do not delay. It shows you appreciate what God did.

DISCUSSION: Why don’t teenagers come out to share testimonies in church? Discuss reasons and find solution.

INVITATION/APPLICATION: Giving testimony is a sign of gratitude to God. Make it a part of you to always share your testimony thereby telling God that you are grateful.

CONCLUSION: A sincere, heartfelt, burning word of testimony will do more to convince men and women of the power of the Gospel than all the arguments and reasoning in the world.
