CENTRAL TRUTH: God loves a cheerful giver.

INTRODUCTION: The widow of Zarephath shone through giving her last meal to the man of God and the barrel of meal did not waste while the cruse of oil did not fail.
Giving is a command. Apostle Paul commanded the Philippian Church and he prayed for them.

LIFE APPLICATION: Giving is an attribute of God, which He wants Hid children to have. You give joy and happiness to people when you give. Giving is not only in monetary terms. It includes using your time, energy, talent and resources. Whenever you give, give quality gifts. Give sacrificially and cheerfully. Give to God and fellow human being so you can receive mercy from God. Money given to God must not be corrupt.

CONCLUSION: The bible says: “Give and you shall be given.” – Luke 6:38. Giving is a command. It is beneficial to give. Whenever you give to the poor, you lend to God and He gives back to you with profit.

TOPIC: LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE THROUGH CONFIDENCE

2Timothy 1:7 – “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

CENTRAL TRUTH: Confidence is the key to shining.

INTRODUCTION: A lot of times people have confidence in the wrong things. For instance, people have confidence in unreliable things like fellow human wealth, economy, government, educational certificates and other mundane things of this world. The only thing to have confidence in is in the word of God. Aside having confidence, you’ve got to grow in it. The confidence in God’s word is so powerful, unshakable and rock solid. Your ability to preach or teach God’s word is to extent that it will work. If you lack confidence in God’s word you can’t preach it.

LIFE APPLICATION: Confidence is the basic of approaching God effectively in prayer, confidence is the outward expression of faith. Your faith in God will push you to take bold steps. You need confidence to start something new and to also faith the enemies with God’s word, – 2Peter 1:17-21

CONCLUSION: Your confidence in God will put you over any situation. You need confidence to defeat the enemies. Remember David who faced Goliath with the confidence in God’s word. God encouraged Joshua to be bold and courageous to take the children of Israel to the promised land after the death of Moses. You need confidence to grow in Glory.

LESSON: FORTY-TWO (42)
TOPIC: CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY

MEMORY VERSE: Colossians 1:27 – “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

CENTRAL TRUTH: Christ must be in you first, before hoping in the future glory.

INTRODUCTION: What the world is turning to today is unimaginable. How can you change from having an attitude of despair to an attitude of hope? How can you cease being pessimist and become optimist? How can you live triumphant lives rather than being conquered by the events that threaten you? How much hope do you have as you face the future? If you would have hope instead of despair, you must find and receive the gift of faith. Real faith and a spirit of hope are inseparable. Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see – Hebrew 11:1

TOPIC: SWIMMING IN GOD’S GLORY

CENTRAL TRUTH: Glory cannot be compared to anything.

INTRODUCTION: God is synonymous to glory. God is glory, therefore anything that comes from God symbolizes glory. Glory is the opposite of shame. Now, to swim in glory there are certain conditions that are needed to be fulfilled. In today lesson, we will look at God’s glory and how we can see Him in Gods glory.

STUDY GUIDE:
A. WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO SWIM?

  1. Swimming means you are making progress inside water. God did not create man for water. He created man for land. He created the sky for the birds and the rivers for the fishes.
  2. When you go to swim, you are going to an area that God did not initially create for you. To swim is to make progress in a realm that is not yours.
  3. Swimming requires strength and energy to progress.
  4. Swimming demands concentration, focus, endurance, conscience of your purpose, determination etc.
  5. Swimming means operating successfully in a realm that is not naturally yours – 1Samuel 17:33-37

CONCLUSION: You can tap into God’s glory by looking, praying, preparing and walking. Then the glory of God will be revealed in you. Don’t live without understanding God’s glory and what it means to your life.

LESSON: FORTY-FOUR (44)
TOPIC: BEATITUDES

MEMORY VERSE: “If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.” John 13:17 –

INTRODUCTION: Beatitude is Be Attitude, that are attitudes that ought to be. Attitude is the way we show how we think or feel about something. Jesus gave this sermon on the mountain in Matthew 5:3-12. There is a special kind of happiness you experience when you know that God is pleased with your attitude.

A. WHAT IS THE MEANING OF ATTITUDE?
The beatitudes are eight blessings recounted by Jesus in the sermon on the mount in the gospel of Matthew 5. It means supreme blessedness or happiness.

  1. To all believers. The beatitudes are certain attitudes that should be strived for above all.
  2. When a person is saved through faith in Christ by His grace alone, it is at that moment that a person receives every one of these attitudes.

LIFE APPLICATION: God wants you to receive blessings of these attitudes if you have them and to display them daily as you relate with people.

CONCLUSION: For every promise of God there is a condition. You get blessed as you obey and acquire these godly attitudes.

LESSON: FOURTY-FIVE (45)
TOPIC: FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT

MEMORY VERSE: “For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.” Ephesians 5:9

BIBLE TEXT: Galatians 5:22-26

INTRODUCTION: The fruit of the Spirit is the result of the infilling of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. It makes us conform to the image of Jesus Christ. People can readily see a new character that is of God´s nature in us, which is in contrast to the sinful nature.

CONCLUSION: A life that is not bearing the fruit of the Holy Spirit is yet to be conformed to the image of Christ.
