MEMORISE: Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. Psalms 41:9
READ: MATTHEW 7:12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
It is a rare privilege for someone to trust you. When someone puts something in your care. It means that they trust you and expect you to take good care of that thing. This is a great responsibility and you ought to live up to it.
David recognised this when he was given the family sheep to take care of. He ensured that none of the sheep got missing. When a bear and a lion attacked, he risked his life to protect the sheep.
If someone trusts you with money, it does not give you the liberty to spend the money as you please. You must give account of every kobo.
When you prove yourself trustworthy, they will trust you even more and definitely reward you. Even if the fellow who trusted you does not reward you, God who sees your heart will reward you like He rewarded Joseph.
Potiphar trusted Joseph with everything in his home and he did not fail. Even though Potiphar three Joseph into prison, God rewarded Joseph by Himself.
Can people around you trust you?
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
2 Samuel 10-12; Luke 19:29-48
1. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.2. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross
3. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation?
To those who are dying in sin?
4. We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.
